Get involved with Metastatic Matters

Metastatic Matters is more than an event or a fundraiser — it’s a bridge. A bridge between our Charleston community and the larger fight to give metastatic breast cancer the attention it deserves.

This mission is bigger than us. That’s why Metastatic Matters is proud to stand with national and global efforts that give metastatic breast cancer the attention and urgency it deserves.

By supporting METAvivor and #LightUpMBC, we are part of the fight to fund research, spread awareness, and honor lives everywhere.

90% of donations to METAvivor go directly to research, advocacy, and patient support. That means every dollar makes an immediate impact — funding the science that can extend lives, supporting the voices that fight for us in policy and awareness, and providing resources for patients navigating Stage IV every single day.

When you give, you’re not just making a donation. You’re helping to fuel hope, drive progress, and remind every person living with metastatic breast cancer that they are not forgotten.

#LightUpMBC Logo.jpg

Every year on Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, October 13th, landmarks around the world glow in teal, pink, and green as part of the #LightUpMBC campaign. These colors are more than just lights — they are symbols of hope, remembrance, and solidarity.

Each illuminated skyline honors the lives lost, stands with those still living with Stage IV, and reminds us that metastatic breast cancer deserves more attention and more action.

*A portion of every registration and sponsorship goes straight to the cause: 35% of proceeds will be donated directly to METAvivor. The rest helps us cover event costs, light up Charleston for #LightUpMBC, and build toward future projects that support families impacted by MBC.
